Soap &Glory - Thick & Fast Mascara

Soap&Glory Thick&Fast Mascara

They say...
This false lash effect mascara creates amazingly, longer, fuller fabulous lashes. Featuring Superfill False Lash Fillers, Shine Amplifiers and No Flake 24 Technology.

Firstly, I'm leaning two ways with this mascara. They say that it gives longer fuller lashes, which yeah, I can agree with because it did make my eyelashes noticeably longer after one coat. Fuller, after about 3 coats, which isn't what I look for in a mascara because I need something that doesn't need a lot of work for the product to do its job right.

However, on the other hand, whilst using this product I found that the brush was way to large for my eyes to use on the bottom lashes and I struggled with it on my top as it was going all over my eyelids which isn't good, just annoying! I was extremely unhappy with the fact it didn't make my eyelashes curl at all even with using a eyelash curler before. Am I doing something wrong?!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. It's not what I was looking for or expecting at all. I thought and hoped that my lashes would look something fairly like the picture on the box which the mascara is meant to make your lashes look like, and I got the complete oposite. There are much better mascaras on the market than this one, which is a disappointment as most of their other products are faultless!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation
The Review

When I brought this foundation, I thought that it was would be something more along the lines of a tinted moisturizer. How wrong could I be?! This foundation is much thicker than I was expecting, it isn't overly thick as such but still much thicker than I thought as it is meant to be a 'nearly naked' foundation.
The colour range of this foundation, I find is really good. There seems to be a foundation to match nearly every skin colour. However, I did have to buy a shade that was too light. The jump from the shade I have to the one up is very bizare because the shade nude, which is the 150 is much darker and has a quite pinky/orange undertones to it- which would be very wrong for my skin tone. But with a bit of bronzing its not much of a problem.

This foundation lasts around 6-7 hours for me with primer and setting powder- which isn't too bad.
The coverage of this foundation is light/medium, which is different to what I usually go for; as I like a full coverage foundation. But this foundation may have converted me to go for something lighter. It makes my skin look fresh but not shiny. It gives a nice dewy look, and covers any imperfection without looking mask like.

(no foundation)
(coverage after 2 layers of foundation)

I am in love with this foundation, it really suits what I'm looking for in a daytime foundation!
If you have this, what do you think of it?

M.A.C Blushbaby

M.A.C Blush - Blushbaby

This blush is called 'Blushbaby' from the sheertone blush catagory at Mac!
I love this blush. The natural/neutral tone to this blush really appealed to be as it is a similar colour to my natural cheek colour. I find that this works well as a 'base' blush.. mainly because when you apply a different coloured blush on top, it really makes it pop and seem much for fresh and brighter.

It is a sheer blush as the name suggests. But when you apply a couple of layers, the colour really comes out and looks very natural. I apply it with a blush brush from Mac onto my cheekbones first, then blend it out towards the tops of my cheekbones.

Rimmel Apocalips

Rimmel Apocalips

Once again, I'm back to Boots buying more drugstore products! But how can you resist a new release, especially from Rimmel?! These new lip products from Rimmel have been raved about all over the blogging world for the past few weeks. And I can see why. They're described as a 'Lip Lacquer' on the packaging. Which are also meant to have the pigmentation of a lipstick, just in a gloss formula.
I've read a few reviews, and saw the comment that they were drying reappearing over and over again. This is why I got put off from buying them at first. But I really do disagree. I must be doing something different! You also cannot deny the pigmentation of these either...

Of course, like any product- there are the pros and cons.
The pros for me are the range of colours they offer. I really could of brought them all, but I went for the lightest shade, which is a very light brown/peach colour (Nude Eclipse). It is a lovely colour for day or night. The pigmentation is just as good as a lipstick, with a gorgeous shine yet suttle. I also don't find them drying, especially if you apply a bit of lip balm before hand.
However, there are a few problems which I have with these. The applicator can be difficult to use as it is quite bendy, but with a bit of work it is acceptable. Also, I really don't find that these last any longer than about an hour without having to reapply them. Which isn't too much of a problem, but can get a bit tedious after a while.

Overall, I think that it is a great product; which I probably would repurchase. I'm already thinking about buying 2 other shades which really caught my eye!
What do you think of the colour and product itself?

Trendy nail... Literally!

Trendy Nails... Quite Literally!

As you can guess from the title of this post, its a nails post! I've recently found a nail polish brand which is affordable, offer great colours and don't chip after about an hour like most drugstore polishes do! Introducing... Trendy!! Yes the brand is called trendy, and this nail colour which I am showing is right on trend! A neon yellow, which couldn't be anymore 'trendy', but yet it is suttle enough everyday wear. Perfect right? Here's a swatch on my nails to show you just how truely perfect it really is...

The bottle is even a great shape, and with the length of the applicator,
you can get a firm grip which makes it even easier to apply!

Wishlist...

My Topshop Wishlist-

Recently, I haven't been liking much on Topshop. I'm not sure why but whenever I visit a store, everything looks ten times better than what it does on the internet (is it just me that thinks this?!). As I don't go to stores often, as my nearest store is quite a distance.. this is a real pain! If you've been on the website recently, you would have noticed that they have started putting pictures of what the clothing item looks like on with 'outfit ideas' I guess you could say. I personally think that this is a great idea, as sometimes I can struggle to find something to go with an item! Here are a few things all from Topshop which are on my 'wishlist', hopefully when I'm next in store I can finally get my hands on these!

What do you think?
